I am the inaugural Samuel K. Eddy Professor at Washington University in St. Louis and a Professor of History and Professor American Culture Studies. I also hold a courtesy appointment in the Washington University School of Law.
At Washington University, I serve as associate Vice Dean of Research in Arts & Sciences and chair of the University’s Naming Review Board.
Additionally, I serve as vice chair of the board of trustees at the Missouri Historical Society and co chair of the Spatial Humanities Working Group at the Taylor Geospatial Institute (where I am a TGI Associate).
